We can arrange a charter for you at almost any given moment, be it next week or next year. However, if your availability is not flexible or if there’s a particular vessel you’d like to secure, we advise you book well ahead in advance to avoid disappointment.

During the compilation of your itinerary and before you board the yacht, you’ll be able to complete an in-depth questionnaire in order for us to determine your food preferences and allergies, as well as the dietary and medical requirements for yourself and your guests.

We’ll also look into your sporting or entertainment requests, enabling us and the crew to deliver the best possible experience throughout your charter.

You are most welcome to specify exactly what you want for your charter. Your charter consultant will work with you and the captain from the get-go, helping you compile the perfect voyage for you and your guests. You can be involved as much or as little as you like.

However, you must keep in mind that your itinerary will be subject to change, depending on weather conditions and berth availability. We’ll do our best to maintain flexibility.

You can charter a vessel for as long as you like. We are able to cater for any time period that you may require, from day charters to month-long vacations onboard any one of our vessels.

In European territorial waters, VAT is included in the charter fee. This will be applied to most charters at the local rate of the country from which you start your journey, and will depend on your chosen itinerary. Your broker will be able to advise you on the tax situation for each destination.

In order to protect your investment if unforeseen circumstances hinder or disrupt your charter, we strongly advise that you take out cancellation and curtailment insurance.

It is also advised that members of the charter party be covered by a personal accident and medical insurance, as well as have certain valuables onboard insured against theft, loss or damage. Other forms of insurance, such as Charterer’s Liability, is also recommended.

Any tips are at your sole discretion. If the captain and crew have exceeded expectations, it is customary to give 5% to 15% of the total charter fee amount on your last day before you disembark. In order to avoid any misunderstanding between the crew members, it is advised to give the amount to the captain, who will allocate it to the crew accordingly.

Nonetheless, some costs are bound to change, depending on your additional requests and itinerary. However, some costs may change depending on your itinerary and desires. This is a definite guideline of unavoidable fees which will come up during your charter:

Your main additional cost will be fuel consumption, which is covered by the APA. This is normally calculated by the hour, and a typical charter will burn 3 hours per day. At present, diesel prices are rising, but this usually costs between €1.20 and €1.80 per litre of fuel. Another definite charge to consider are mooring fees if you’ll be spending the night in a port, as well as any additional provisioning you may request during your charter. These are to be paid to your captain via the Advance Provisioning Allowance system.

APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance. The APA is a straightforward and transparent way to get your vessel efficiently provisioned, without any hassle throughout your charter.

An APA is an account that is set up for the captain, from which they can purchase provisions during the charter on your behalf. This includes food and drink, port fees, fuel, and any other berthing requirements. Your captain will keep a record of all receipts, as well as balance the account for you.

At the end of your journey, they will give you a full account of your expenditures, and you will be refunded any amount that has not been used. You’ll be able to check the expenditure level at any time you like during your charter.

Before you commence your charter, you will be asked to pay the Advance Provisioning Allowance. This usually amounts to around 30% of your final charter fee, depending on your choice of boat, which will determine your fuel consumption. The APA will be paid with the final charter payment.

In the event that all of the APA is used up, you can add funds to the account directly through the captain in cash.
